Known Gaps

Functionality that isn't built yet, so nobody assumes it exists

Read this before assuming a capability exists

Everything on this page is genuinely not built — this isn't a documentation gap, it's a product gap. If you need one of these for a real production, confirm current status with your Greenroom contact before committing to a timeline.

Garnishments, child support orders, and IRS levies

There is currently no UX for entering or honoring a court-ordered wage garnishment, child support order, or IRS levy. If a payee has one of these, it cannot yet be properly processed through Greenroom. The approach has been decided (a Garnishment Orders tab on the payee profile, with deductions routed through CheckHQ), but it has not been built yet.

A raw "Garnishment" line does exist today in Role & Pay's Deductions section — don't mistake this for the workflow above. It's a manually-entered dollar amount with no order tracking, no priority enforcement, no withholding-limit calculation, and no auto-termination when an order is satisfied. Using it for a real garnishment risks over- or under-withholding with no system safeguard against either.

Year-end close

There is no producer-facing trigger, audit trail, or checklist for year-end filings (1099-MISC, W-2, W-3, state annuals) yet. The approach has been decided (an early-January auto-trigger with a 7-day producer review window, digital delivery by default with an optional mailed copy routed through CheckKeeper), but it has not been built yet.

Multi-state payroll

Launch scope is confirmed as single-state (NYC) only; multi-state is planned for a later phase with no committed date yet. If a production tours or otherwise needs multi-state withholding, reciprocity handling, or state-by-state filings, confirm current status before proceeding — this is not yet built.
